Community gardens to continue, expand

Members of the Mississippi County Coalition for a Tobacco-Free Arkansas, in conjunction with the Blytheville Boys and Girls Club, the Master Gardeners, EOC and First United Missionary Baptist Church announced this week that they will continue in the upcoming year to expand their community garden program.

Community's segregation era remembered

Today Blytheville residents of all races live all across the community. Many current residents, however, can remember a time when segregation reigned and the city was rigidly divided into two sections, "colored" and "white."
