Mobile phones now making most 911 calls

In 2009, more than 36,000 calls were made to 911 in Blytheville and Mississippi County, according to David Lendennie, who gave a presentation to the Blytheville Lions Club on Tuesday. The majority of those calls are requests for law enforcement assistance, and 78 percent were made from cell phones, which is a big change from when Lendennie began working as the county 911 coordinator in 1988...

A 13-year old Blytheville boy is in stable condition at The Regional Medical Center in Memphis after being shot Monday at his home. According to Capt. 'Velveteen Rabbit' set to take Ritz stage
