Sprinkler billing may change

Thursday night, the Airport and Utilities Committee recommended that Blytheville Waterworks go back to the old way of billing for automatic sprinklers. At the Aug. 18 regular meeting, the Blytheville City Council will consider the committee's proposal to amend the rules and regulations in the water company ordinance to say that the sprinkler meters will be turned off and on at the customers' request...

Two shot in overnight incident

The incident is believed to have started in the Holland, Mo., area of Pemiscot County, after midnight, and eventually made its way into Mississippi County, to a residence north of Blytheville on Highway 61...
