Sunday, March 24, 2019

The Blytheville Ministerial Alliance hosted a Prayers Over Blytheville on Sunday afternoon at the Blytheville Prayer Garden at First Christian Church. Local pastors of several different denominations led residents and community leaders in prayer for the city of Blytheville in the wake of the recent wave of violence in the city. Pastors prayed for peace and justice in Blytheville, for victims and their families, for perpetrators and their families, for police officers and first responders, for respect for human life, as well as laid hands on Blytheville Mayor James Sanders, County Judge John Alan Nelson, Blytheville Police Chief Ross Thompson and Blytheville Assistant Police Chief Ricky Jefferson. Rev. Dr. Scott Trotter read the benediction.
