Mary Valentine Kilburn

Mary Valentine Kilburn, 98, of Steele, Mo., passed away Friday, Nov. 4, 2022, at her home.

Mary was born and raised in Hermondale, Mo., to Oliver and Odelia Buette Frazer. She moved to the Wilson area where she lived for around 15 years. She then moved to California where she spent 20 years before retiring in the Steele area. Mary was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church. She attended church every Sunday, even when she was on vacation. Mary had a passion for caring for others. She was always doing charity work, giving to others, or taking care of someone in need.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Warren Kilburn; brothers, Everett, Bernard and Charles Frazer; and sisters, Elizabeth Liles, Irene Rhodes, Margaret Edington and Barbara Melton.

Mary is survived by her son, Rev. Clayton Kilburn, CM, a priest of the congregation of the Mission of the West.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, Nov. 11, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Rev. Clayton Kilburn officiating. Burial will follow in Frazer Cemetery in Hermondale, Mo. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-6 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. Rosary will immediately follow from 6-7p.m. also at Cobb Funeral Home.
