Romia Jackson, 77, of Joiner, passed away Oct. 30, 2022, at his home. He was a retired heavy machine operator, welder and a member of Macedonia MB Church in Wilson. Mr. Jackson was born Oct. 7, 1945, in Turrell to George and Odelia Dixon Jackson. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, George Jackson; six brothers and four sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Flora Mae Jackson of Joiner; five sons Anthony Jackson, Melvin Jackson and Terry Jackson of Springfield, Mo., Eddie Brown of Joiner and Romia Jackson, Jr. of New Albany, Miss.; three daughters Rochell Jackson of Jacksonville, Jessica Jackson of Osceola and Meredith Harris (Nelson) of Keiser; four brothers, Moses Jackson of Joiner, Oliver Jackson of Waterloo, Iowa, Edgar Charles Jackson and George Jackson of Los Angeles, Calif.; two sisters, Odellia Hill of Savannah, Ga., and Joshlar Jackson of West Memphis; a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Nov. 12, from 9-10 a.m. with the funeral at 10 a.m. at Macedonia MB Church in Wilson. Burial will be at Rivercrest Gardens in Marie with Pastor Bryant Whitted officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
