Charles Wade Bradford

Charles Wade Bradford, 82, of Paragould, passed from this life Tuesday, Nov. 1, 2022, at his home. Born in Blue Mountain, Miss., he was the son of the late John Wade and Laura Howard Bradford. He had been a resident of Paragould since 1977 and had been an employee of Kroger in Paragould as the meat market manager for 37 years, retiring in 2001. He was a dedicated Christian man and a member of the Christian Life Center in Brookland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Patricia Darlynda Penn; three brothers, Calvin Bradford, Johnny Bradford and Robert Bradford; and one sister, Wilma Bradford.

Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Patricia Ford Bradford; two sons, Charles Wade Bradford, Jr. and his wife Anita of Bald Knob and Brett DeWayne Bradford and his wife Dana of Paragould; one brother, Odis Bradford of Rochelle, Ill.; two sisters, Mary Bassett of Jonesboro and Shelba Walker of Monette. He also leaves 11 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were 1 p.m. Friday at the Christian Life Center in Brookland with Rev. Scott Trayler officiating. Burial followed in the Manila Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Manila. The family received visitors Friday from 11 a.m. until service time at the church.
