Melba Hill Justus of Blytheville passed away Sunday, Sept. 25, 2022.

Melba, lovingly called Mimi, was born in Blytheville to Emmett and Flossie Hill. She was a lifelong resident of Blytheville and she worked at Randall Company in purchasing for over 30 years. She married her husband Jimmy Jene Justus of Mammoth Springs in 1958. Mimi was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Blytheville. She was also a member of the United Methodist Women and had a special gift of hospitality. Mimi also went on several mission trips to Rio Bravo, Mexico, through the United Methodist Church. Although Mimi and Jim never had children of their own, they were leaders of the high school UMY for numerous years. Mimi was a member of PEO Chapter CI in Blytheville, and she loved traveling with the community college with Sharyn Stevenson as the director.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jim in 1989; sister, Maxine Hill Stancil in 2017; and brother-in-law, Bill Stancil in 1991.

Mimi is survived by her niece, Sandy Stancil Hodges (Rausch) of Forrest City along with their children, Mary Hoshall Reeves (Rustin) and Billy Rauscher Hodges, all of Forrest City; niece, Stacie Stancil Moore (Wes) of Fort Smith; nephew, Bill Stancil (Cami) of Greenwood; her loving extended family in Forrest City, Dave and Lindsay Hodges, and their daughters, Mary Dudley Garrison (Ted) and Elizabeth James (Will), all of Little Rock; along with many loving friends and neighbors.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, Sept. 29, at 1 p.m. at the First United Methodist Church with Rev. Zach Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
