Roderick (Mohammad) Jimel Hale, Sr. was born May 16, 1980, in Blytheville to the late Delia Hale and Wiley Hale, Jr. He had accepted Christ as his personal savior. Roderick departed this earthly life on Wednesday, Aug. 24, 2022, at Titus Regional Medical in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. He was preceded in death by his mother, Delia Hale; one son, Roderick Hale, Jr.; and his grandparents, Sine and Hattie Mae Woodard, Frankie Gray and Rosa Hale.

He leaves to cherish his memories his father, Wiley Hale, Jr. (Starrtrynea) of St. Louis, Mo.; six daughters, La-Daijha Hale-Pritchett (Jason) of Lepanto, Shanteria Reed of Marion, Ind., Rodriuanna Hale of Osceola, Alreonna Bailey of Kenosha, Wis., Delia Hale of Texarkana, Texas, and Addycen Williams of Jonesboro; three sons, Demetrius Hale of Cleveland, Ohio, Shadondre Black of Osceola and Tevelyn Hale of Washington, D.C.; one bonus daughter and son, Ariunna Martin and Jacquez Martin of Texarkana, Texas; two sisters, Felicia Black (Kirt) of Texarkana, Texas, and Lashana Hale of Osceola; one brother, Wiley Hale, III of St. Louis, Mo.; one stepsister, Jamila Reeves, and one stepbrother Jymius Wright, both of St. Louis, Mo.; grandparents, Wiley and Dorothy Hale, Sr. of East St. Louis, Ill.; seven grandchildren, Jason Ross, Jaxon Ross, JaRaya Ross, Rami Hale, Shadondre Black, Jr., Legacy Black and Natalie Herrirman; three special nieces, Brianna Black, Delicia Johnson and Zaria Black; one special nephew, JaDarius Collins; his godmother, Exie Webb; a host of nieces nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Visitation will be Saturday, Sept. 3, from 12-2 p.m. with the funeral at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Grove MB Church in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola will be in charge of arrangements. The family requests that masks be worn at all times.
