Louis Holby Gresham

Louis Holby Gresham, 86, of Blytheville, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2022, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Louis was born in DeWitt and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. He worked at Meyers Bakery for 20 years and also retired from Borg Warner. Louis served his country with honor in the United States Army and was a member of the American Legion. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed watching wrestling. Most of all, Louis loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his biological parents, Fonnie and Rena Cooper Gresham; adoptive parents, Jesse and Gladys Wood Cooper; four brothers and four sisters.

Louis is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sue Pannell Gresham of the home; children, Janet McKay of Blytheville and Lou Ann Murphree of Jonesboro; grandchildren, Carrie Nelson, Nicole Foreman, Faith Montezuma and Grace Robinson; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 2 p.m. at Bethany Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery.
