Gladys Lucille Pipes

Gladys Lucille Pipes, 91, of New Albany, Miss., passed away July 21, 2022 at Baptist Hospital in New Albany. She was a retired CNA and of the Pentecostal faith. Ms. Pipes was born Feb. 2, 1931, in Nettleton, Miss., to Elvin and Ludie Bell Brown Burch. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jappie Pipes; two sons, Jerry Orr and Michael Pipes; one daughter, Pamela Moore; three brothers; and four sisters.

She is survived by one son, James Orr of Welaka, Fla.; one daughter, Debra Ann Sarris of New Albany, Miss.; one brother, David Burch of Welaka, Fla.; three sisters, Ty Carter of Florida, Becky Gerber of California, Kitty Poling of Indiana; five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Monday, July 25, from 12:30-2 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 2 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza. Burial will be Tyronza Cemetery in Tyronza with Rev. James Steele officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Tyronza is in charge of arrangements.
