Ella Ermilee Jackson

Ella Ermilee Jackson, 91, of Leachville, widow of Mr. Lenard Jackson, passed from this life Thursday, June 23, 2022, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born in Peel, she was the daughter of the late Willis and Parazee Smothers Merriman and had been a Leachville resident the past 60 years. Ermilee was a homemaker and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Leachville. She enjoyed working puzzles, word search and baby sitting children. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Jackson Woods; four brothers, George Merriman, Russell Merriman, Joe Merriman, Guy Merriman; and two sisters, Mary Alice Layton and Joyce Jackson.

Survivors include her son, Markie Jackson (Cathy) of Leachville; one brother, Silas Merriman of Judsonia. She also leaves two grandchildren, Markie Jackson, Jr. and Debbie Jackson; three great-grandchildren, Austin Clayton, Raeleigh Clayton and Hayden Jackson.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Monday, June 27, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Kevin Crider officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. 

Serving as active pallbearers will be Markie Jackson, Jr., Charles Jackson, James Jackson, Austin Clayton, Shawn Riley, William Freeman and Chris Clark.
