Carl Henry Cook Sr

Carl Henry Cook Sr., 84, of Payneway departed this life Sunday, June 12, 2022, in Harrisburg. Carl was born Jan. 14, 1938, in Hattieville, to George Thomas Cook and Lois Annie May Henderson Cook. Carl was one of 12 children. He was preceded in death by his parents; an infant brother; brothers, David Cook and Odell Cook; sisters, Mary Degraw and Marcel Williams.

Carl is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Joyce L. Cook of Payneway; his children, Patsy Cole of Osawatomie Kan., Tammy Markin of Harrisburg, Billy Cook, Jimmy Cook and Matthew Cook, all of Payneway. Carl has seven grandchildren, Fred A Cole, Candice Kern, Benjamin Cole of Kansas, Jerry Markin, Kimberly Gibson, Brandy Cook, Brittany Cook, all of Arkansas; and six great- grandchildren, Kylee Cole, Kimberlee Cole, Riley Kern of Kansas, Aidan Markin, Jada Markin, Gavin Cook of Arkansas.

A celebration of life will be held later this year so expressions of sympathy may be sent directly to his family.
