Gearldine Murphy

Gearldine Murphy, 83, of Blytheville passed away Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Manila Nursing Center. She was born in Little River to William and Violet Stepps on Nov. 6, 1938. Gearldine retired from American Greetings and was a member of Clearlake Baptist Church. She enjoyed working in the yard and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her son, James Danny Murphy; daughters, Sandra (Mike) Smith and Karon (John) Hall; grandchildren, Justin (Ashley) Smith, Murphy Smith, Morgan (Dalton) Smith Taylor, Corbin Smith, Audrey (Ken) Luff; great-grandchildren, Steele Smith, Hawkins Smith, Fletcher Smith, Hudson Taylor, Whitleigh Luff, Layne Luff; sisters, Betty Wayman, Charlene Adams, Alice McGregor, Brenda White; brothers, Ray Stepps and J.D. Stepps.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, James Murphy.

A visitation will be held at Roller-Swift Funeral Home, Tuesday, June 14, from 12-1 p.m. with the funeral to follow at 1 p.m. Entombment will be at Mississippi County Memorial Gardens.
