Kathleen (Katy) Ward

Kathleen (Katy) Ward, 93, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, June 1, 2022, at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center.

Born in Kensett, Kathleen was a retired nurse’s aide and was of the Methodist faith. She enjoyed tending to the flower beds and watching the birds. She was a true lover of books, dogs, and peanut butter shakes. Kathleen never met a stranger. She always had colorful stories to share with everyone.

In addition to her parents, Dick and Allie Ausburn, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Donna; her brothers, Vernon “Bill” and Lawrence Ausburn; and sisters, Estelle Ausburn and Ellen Cooper.

Kathleen is survived by her granddaughter, Kathleen Wolfmeyer of St. Louis, Mo.; and brothers, Tim Ausburn of Steele, Mo., and Jerry Ausburn of Cooter, Mo.

The family extends a special thank you to Kathleen’s family at Gosnell Therapy and Living Center, who filled her life with so much joy.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday, June 8, at 10:30 a.m. at Number 8 Cemetery in Cooter, with Billy Holifield officiating. There will be no visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be in Kathleen’s honor to the Blytheville Humane Society or to Gosnell Health & Rehab (via check with Kathleen Ward/Activities in the memo section).
