Millard Thomas

Millard Thomas was born Dec. 22, 1935, in Burdette to the late Henry and Pauline Thomas. Millard Thomas was a faithful member of New Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Pastor Burton Furlow.

Millard loved his family and there was nothing he wouldn’t do for them. He was a retired brick mason and contractor.

Friday May 13, 2022, Millard Thomas passed away at Great River Medical Center surrounded by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his second wife Shellie Thomas and his third wife Charlene Thomas.

Millard Thomas leaves to cherish his memories four daughters, Mildred (Robert) Moore of Blytheville, Mary Davis of Atlanta, Ga., Mary (Charles) Carrington of Westland, Mich., Jannie Bell (Johnny) Hotfield of Inkster, Mich., and Varnell (Trenton) Barton of Inkster, Mich. He also leaves behind two sons, Millard Jr. (Carmen) Thomas of Lansing Mich., and Danny Thomas of Blytheville. He leaves behind his first wife, Geneliza Thomas of Romulus, Mich., a special stepson, Donnie, and a special niece, Diane. He also leaves behind a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.

Millard Thomas will be missed but he will never be forgotten.

Funeral services are entrusted to Jarrett Funeral Home, 530 Lumerate St., Blytheville, (870)762-0885.

Visitation will be Saturday, May 21, at 1 p.m. at New Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church. Funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. at New Immanuel Missionary Baptist Church.
