Lady Dee McAdoo of Blytheville passed away peacefully May 7, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

Lady was born in Roseland to John Quincy "Jack" and Lena Williams Adams. She was a member of New Liberty Baptist Church. Lady was a lifetime resident of Blytheville. She was devoted to her family and time with her three daughters, grandchildren and great-grandchildren was most precious to her. She was more than happy to be the central figure in the lives of her children. Anyone that knew them knew that she was a star in their eyes and that's all that ever mattered to her. She left an imprint on the heart of everyone she ever met with her witty humor and incredibly giving nature. Her unusual name "Lady" was unforgettable and a hallmark of her character. Though Lady's health declined from a diagnosis of cancer eight years ago, few people knew the extent to which she struggled. Her joy for life and amazing spirit kept her pushing through the pain and was a testimony to her family and friends. Her faith in God gave her hope to carry on.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Lee McAdoo; her parents, John Quincy Adams and Lena Alfred Adams; her grandson, Justin Blake Harrison; and two sisters, Vivian Adams and Inez Malone.

Lady leaves her children, Vivian Lee Harrison and her husband Rick of Blytheville, Barbara McAdoo Brothers of Blytheville, and Marilyn Jane Lee and her husband Ralph of Blytheville; grandchildren, Candas Richmond Bivens and her husband Adam of Blytheville, Traci Brothers McDoniel and her husband Collin of Memphis, Tenn., Adam Lee Harrison and his wife Cheryl of Blytheville, Amy Brothers Riston of Blytheville, Crystal Harrison Whaley and her husband Fletcher of Dothan, Ala., 10 great-grandchildren; two nieces and one nephew.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 11, at 1 p.m. at New Liberty Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Gonzales officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12 p.m. until service time at New Liberty Baptist Church. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cobbfuneralhome.com.
