Dale Woods

Dale Woods, 69, of Leachville, passed from this life Tuesday, May 3, 2022, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born in the Mounds community, he was the son of the late James "Otis" and Gustavel Edgin Woods and had been a lifelong Leachville resident. Dale was a longtime employee of Edwards Farms in Leachville for over 35 years, retiring earlier this year. Dale was a Christian affiliated with Shepherd's Chapel in Gravette. He enjoyed doing anything outdoors including fishing, spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Shaun Woods; one granddaughter, Sarina Woods; three brothers, Lloyd Woods, Gene Woods and Robert Woods; three sisters, Betty June Hill, Louise Morgan and Martha Bell Morgan.

Survivors include one son, Jonathan Dale Woods of Paragould; two daughters, June Woods (Lukas) and Tamra Woods Edwards (Jason), both of Paragould; one brother, Johnny Woods of Paragould; four sisters, Linda McMinn of Leachville, Sue French of Monroe, Ga., Della Fortner of Good Hope, Ga., and Mae Loos of Boise, Idaho. He also leaves seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with the Rev. Royce Boling officiating. Final disposition will be private. The family will receive visitors Saturday from 11 a.m. until service time.
