Bobby Dale Peel

Bobby Dale Peel, 79, of Cardwell, Mo., passed from this life early Tuesday, April 26, 2022, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in the Happy Corner community near Leachville, he was a 1960 graduate of Childress High School and had served in the Arkansas National Guard. Bobby had been a Cardwell resident for the past 47 years and was the owner and operator of Peel Farms of northeast Arkansas and southeast Missouri. He was longtime member of the Antioch Church of Christ in Cardwell. In recent years he enjoyed gardening and growing and selling sweet corn to area residents. He was preceded in death by his parents, Adron and Lorene Loftin Peel; one brother, Jimmy Peel; and a sister, Melba Ward.

Survivors include his wife of 47 years Jeanne Summitt Peel of Cardwell; five sons, Stormy Peel (Marti) of Monette, Andy Peel of Cardwell, Cliff Cupp (Kay) of Cardwell, Craig Cupp (Michelle) of Paragould and Gary Cupp (Christy) of Paragould. He also leaves his grandchildren, Jentri and John Stacy Duke, Andrea and Jason Craig, Tori Cupp, Hannah Cupp, Shea and Josh Moore, Aubrey and Slader Marshall, Chandler and Abby Cupp, Leigh and T.J. Chandler, Lauren Peel and Grady Peel, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 28, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Mr. Dwight Harrison officiating. Burial will follow in the Cardwell Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Thursday from 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home. Active pallbearers will be Cliff Cupp, Craig Cupp, Gary Cupp, Chandler Cupp, David Ward and Grady Peel. Honorary pallbearers will include Jerry and Jenny Yates, Larry and Virginia Grooms, Wayne and Glenda Latting and Alvis and Nan Snider.
