Charlene King Palmer Thomas of Blytheville was born Aug. 22, 1934, in Dell to the late Eliza King Thorton. She was a retired respiratory therapist and a member of New Immanuel M.B. Church where she was on the usher board, she was also a Golden Girl-Choir member. Mrs. Thomas passed away on April 20, 2022, at the Great River Medical Center in Blytheville at the age of 87. She was preceded in death by her mother, Eliza King Thorton; two brothers, Leon King and William Gilliam; one sister Arlene Jones; and one grandchild Demetrius Palmer.

She is survived by her husband, Millard Thomas of Blytheville; one son, Adrian (Nadege Garland) Palmer of Blytheville, and one bonus son, Milton Reel of Jonesboro; two daughters, Joyce Ann Taylor and Bernice (John) Williams, both of Blytheville, and one bonus daughter, Patty Whitaker; one sister, Mary Stella Doss of Chicago, Ill.; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

The visitation will be held Saturday, April 30, from 12-2 p.m. at New Immanuel M.B. Church in Blytheville, with the funeral following immediately at 2 p.m., Rev. Burton Furlow officiating. The burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
