James William Burrier

James William Burrier, 83, of Leachville, passed away Tuesday, April 19, 2022, at his home. Born in Brady, Texas, he was the son of the late Henry and Stella Brooks Burrier and was raised in the Temple, Texas, area. He had been a Leachville area resident since 1964 and had worked as a delivery driver for many years for the former Field Propane and L.P. Gas Company of Leachville. Jim was a longtime member of the Second Baptist Church in Leachville. Following his retirement, he enjoyed working on antique cars with his sons, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a granddaughter.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Geraldine Haynes Burrier of Leachville; three sons, Mike Burrier (Rebecca) of Mountain View, Jimmy Burrier (Regina) of Borden, Ind., and David Burrier (Amanda) of Jonesboro. He also leaves one sister; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 21, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Dewayne Cornelison officiating. Burial will follow in Leachville Cemetery.
