Cecelia Henderson Wiktorek, 80, of Blytheville, passed from this life on Wednesday, April 13, 2022, at the St. Bernards Regional Medical Center in Jonesboro. Born to Alden Vance and Alice Elizabeth Edwards Henderson in Blytheville, she had been a lifelong resident and member of the First United Methodist Church.

Cecelia was the former owner/proprietor of the New York Store which was an icon of Fashion in Blytheville for many years. Cecelia was dedicated to making the business a success and was always there when the doors were open. Cecelia was also a dedicated member of the First United Methodist Church where she was a lifetime member of the choir and served as Chaplain of the DAR. Her life was one that showed a devoted faith in God, true friendship developed from comradery, unity and harmony, and a love for family exceeded only by her love for God. To Cecelia, family was life and her lifeline was family. She always looked forward to time spent with children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren no matter what it involved. As a part of her work, Cecelia would have to travel to various cities for conventions and such. However, she liked to drive through the local small towns around the area and discover all their “secret recipes” and flavors found in small town America. She was a devoted wife, mother, grand- and great-grandmother who will be sorely missed. She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter, Robbie Lynn Butler.

Cecelia is survived by her husband, Thomas “Tom” Michael Wiktorek of the home; children, Cathy LeAnne Taylor of Jefferson City, Mo., Major (R) Thomas Michael Wiktorek Jr. of White House, Tenn., Patricia Leigh and Kyle Rountree of Andalusia, Ala.; grandchildren, Elizabeth Ann and Chris Yost of Columbus, Miss., Jenny Marie and Josh Wiltfong of Camdenton, Mo., Hayden Joseph Wiktorek of White House, Tenn., Avery Bates, Carlin Bates, Presley Bates and Alex Rountree, all of Andalusia, Ala.; great-grandchildren, Anna, Olivia, Peter and James Yost of Columbus, Miss., and Sebastian and Luke Wiltfong of Camdenton, Mo.; son-in-law, Benjamin Butler of Nashoba, Okla.; sisters, Becky and Tom Bazzarre of Minneapolis, Minn., Nancy and Danny Scott of Corbin, Ky.; nephew, Tom and Colleen Bazzarre; and niece, Betsy and Mike Leatherman.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, April 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church with the Reverend Zach Roberts officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery with the family receiving friends Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until service time, also at the First United Methodist Church. All services are under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers the family request memorials go to the First United Methodist Church or the charity of choice.
