Mary Alice Ketchum

Mary Alice Ketchum, 83, of Manila, passed from this life Thursday, March 31, 2022, at Gassville Therapy and Living in Gassville. Born in Manila, she was the daughter of the late Hubert and Ola Fleeman Ketchum and had been a lifelong Manila resident before making her home in Gassville in 2020. Mary Alice was a 1955 graduate of Manila High School and had been an employee of Fred's Discount Store, formerly in Manila. She retired in 2018 from the Mississippi County Library, serving 10 years as the Manila branch manager. Mary Alice was an avid reader and enjoyed making jewelry and crocheting. She was a longtime member of the Community Methodist Church in Manila. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy J. Ketchum and J.R. Ketchum.

Survivors include two nephews, Danny and Randy; three nieces, Charolatta, Karen and Kathy.

Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Tony Huffman officiating. Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors from noon until service time. Online guest register: www.howardfuneralservice.com
