LaDale James Brandon, 73, of Leachville, passed from this life Friday, March 25, 2022, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center in Paragould. LaDale was born Aug. 14, 1948, in Monette to the late Floyd and Wanda Ladd Brandon. Raised in the Happy Corner community, he was a 1967 graduate of Monette High School and had lived most of his life in the Monette and Leachville areas attending both the Happy Corner Assembly of God and the Leachville Assembly of God. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Vietnam War and while serving in the Army he became an accomplished boxer enjoying great success on the boxing team. He was a retired insurance salesman and administrator, specializing in the training of other agents for Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Before his career in insurance he was the manager of the OTASCO store in North Little Rock. LaDale was also heavily involved in the family restaurant, Brandon's Log Cabin in Manila. He enjoyed fishing, playing billiards, and collecting firearms. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brothers, Chris and Darrell Brandon.

Survivors include his wife of 26 years, Sheila Yancey Brandon of Leachville; one son, Scott Brandon of Harrison; one daughter, Karen Ayers of Jacksonville; one sister, Teresa Regina Matheny of Leachville. He also leaves many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and very special lifelong friends, Tony and Betty Davis.

Funeral service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 29, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Rev. Tom Newman and Rev. Robert White officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Tuesday from 12 p.m. until service time at the funeral home.
