Robert Harold "Bob" Garrett

Robert Harold "Bob" Garrett, 81, of Leachville, passed from this life Monday, March 21, 2022, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Washington, D.C., and raised in La Plata, Md., he was the son of the late Harold "Jack" and Regena Mills Garrett and was a 1959 graduate of La Plata High School in Maryland. "Bob" was a retired machinist with over 27 years of employment at NIBCO in Blytheville. He enjoyed going crabbing, playing softball in his earlier years and drag racing. "Bob" was a member of the Second Baptist Church in Leachville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife and mother of his children, Linda Ruth Spence Garrett, in 1994; one son, Kenneth Allen Garrett; two brothers, Ronnie Garrett and Bud Garrett; and one sister Joyce Bowie.

Survivors include four sons, Robert Anthony Garrett of Monette, Kevin Lynn "Pete" Garrett and John Richard Garrett, both of Leachville, and Michael Lee Garrett of Paragould; daughter, Joy Martin and husband Greg of Paragould; one brother, Kenny Garrett; one sister, Beverly "Susie" Saul of La Plata, Md. He also leaves eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Jamie Strickland officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Friday from noon until service time. Online guest register: www.howardfuneralservice.com
