Robert M. Young of Marion was born July 13, 1944, in Portageville, Mo., to the late Granville Andrew Young and the late Molly Catherine Black Young. He was a United States Army veteran, member of the Missouri Army National Guard 12th, retired drug rep for McKesson Drug Company, cameraman for Midsouthern Championship Wrestling for many years, funeral director for Wilson Funeral Homes for over 30 years, and member of First Baptist of West Memphis. Mr. Young passed away Feb. 25, 2022, at Baptist East in Memphis, Tenn., at the age of 77. He was preceded in death by his father, Granville Andrew Young, and mother, Molly Catherine Black Young; brother, Roy Odell Young; sister, Majorie Young Smith; and grandparents, John Robert Black, Laura Blackburn Black Young, Isiach Marion Young and Carolyn Odell Young.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Faye Latham Young of Marion; son, Robert Andrew “Robbie” (September) Young of Marion; daughter, Lavonda Jean (Stuart) Petty of Marion; two grandchildren, Megan (Jared) Root of Mountain Home and Caleb Young of Marion; and two great-grandchildren, Harley Root and Cache Root, both of Mountain Home.

The visitation will be held Monday, Feb. 28, from 6-9 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. The funeral will be held the following day, March 1, at 11 a.m. also at Wilson Funeral Home with Bro. Josh Hall officiating, Bro Gary Andrews will be reading the obituary and remarks. The burial will be held at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Blytheville. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
