Dorothy Aline Kinkead, 97, of Manila and formerly of Blytheville, passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2022, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Dorothy was born in Okemah, Okla., to Walter and Leo Jenkins Price. She was known as “Kinkead” to all of her friends and family. Dorothy worked in the cafeteria for Gosnell Public Schools for 34 years before retiring. She took pride in her home and her yard and she loved to crochet. Her goal in life was to always be a good wife, mother and grandmother. Dorothy had a passion for traveling and has traveled to Germany, Switzerland and the Caribbean. She loved the snow and her most favorite trip was snowmobiling in Montana.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Celbert Kinkead; son, Farrell Kinkead; grandson, Jeff Kinkead; brothers, Von and Max Price; and her dear friend, Steve “Mutt” Calvert.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Lois Yeargan and her husband David of Memphis, Tenn.; grandchildren, Denny, Kevin, Todd Elliott and Stephanie Toney; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, James C. Price of Greenbriar; and sisters, Betty Sims of Tampa, Fla., and Barbara Chambers of Chicago, Ill.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 18, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jarred Elliott officiating. Burial will follow in Dogwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Blytheville Humane Society or to Orphan Annie’s.
