William Thomas “Tom” Jones

William Thomas “Tom” Jones, 82, of Blytheville, passed away Saturday, Feb. 5, 2022, at Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro.

Tom was born in Blytheville to Clyde and Jessie Bea Martin Jones. He was a retired plumber and was also retired from Bunge. He was a member of Faith Pentecostal Church in Holland, Mo. Tom enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed building and repairing things and was always working on something, whether it be adding onto the garage or working on his storage sheds.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Jones; children, Tommy Jones and Sheila Jones; brothers, Lonnie and James Jones; and sister, Barbara Pender.

Tom is survived by three sisters, Linda Plunkett and her husband Larry of Blytheville, Louise Copeland and her husband David of Blytheville and Jerelean Moody and her husband Sherman of Grand Prairie, Texas; four grandchildren, David, William, Robert and Sarah; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 11, at 10:30 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. James Riley officiating. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, face masks are required to enter the building.
