Janice Lavern King

Janice Lavern King, 54, of Leachville, widow of Mr. Kenneth L. King, passed from this life Sunday, Feb. 6, 2022, at her home. Born in Blytheville and raised in Manila, she was the daughter of Norman Lee and Joan Jones Master and had been a Leachville resident since 1988. Janice was a 1985 graduate of Manila High School, a homemaker and a member of the Leachville United Methodist Church. She enjoyed cooking, going to the movies, working in her yard and spending time with family. She especially enjoyed doting on her nieces and nephews. In addition to her father and her husband, she was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Walter and Bessie Master, and her maternal grandparents, John A. and Inice Jones.

She is survived by her mother, Joan Smith, and many friends and family.

Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Thursday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Leachville with Pastor Jason Sutfin officiating. Burial will follow in the Leachville Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Tyler Parker, Ryan Stuck, Chris Stuck, Zac Walker, Ronnie Wilkerson and Tony Ray. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Ballard, Michael Tomblin, Kim Tomblin, Tiffany Fletcher, Caitlyn Clithero and Tracy Vinson.
