James Harold Brooks Sr.

James Harold Brooks Sr., known to many as “Harold”, was born Nov. 2, 1965, to Benjamin Brooks and Maybeen Martin. He departed this life Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro at the age of 56.

He is survived by his mother, Maybeen Martin of Blytheville; three sons, James Harold Brooks Jr. and Datrell Brooks, both of Blytheville, and Jeffery Brooks of Miami, Fla.; one daughter, Tawshuna Brooks of Miami, Fla.; three sisters, Gloria Rogers of Atlanta, Ga., Janie Brooks and Selma Brooks, both of Blytheville; three brothers, Russell Brooks and Johnny Brooks, both of Blytheville, and Eddie Brooks of Milwaukee, Wis.; four grandchildren; mother of his children, Sandra Akins of Long Beach, Calif.; and host of nieces, nephews, and other family members and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Jan. 15, at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home, 634 W. Main Street, Blytheville, from 10:00-11:55 a.m. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 (noon). Burial will be at Memory Garden in Blytheville.
