Theodoshia Guyton

Theodoshia Guyton was born in Blytheville to Fannie Mae Clark Guyton and Marshall Guyton on Aug. 24, 1951. Theodoshia was a member of United Missionary Baptist Church in Gobbler, Mo., under the leadership of Reverend Larry Guyton. She was a former employee of The Duck Inn, Blytheville Nursing Center, Blytheville Air Force Base and MCAEOC. Theodoshia always had a warm and beautiful smile and loved being with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marshall and Fannie Guyton; five brothers, Vancell Guyton, John A. Guyton, Reverend A.J. Guyton, Marshall Guyton, and Thurman Guyton; six sisters, Earnestine Stewart, Octavia McGhee, Florene Johnson, Pauline Dodson, Delois Sanders, and Bobbie Posey.

Theodoshia passed away Dec. 5, 2021, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville at the age of 70.

She leaves to cherish her memories one son, Marcus Guyton of Blytheville; one daughter, Marlet Guyton of San Antonio, Texas; three brothers, Johnny (Loistean) Guyton, Willie (Willie B.) Guyton, and Dave (Toni) Guyton, all of Peoria, Ill.; three sisters, Verlene Johnson of Key Largo, Fla., Bernice Wilkerson of Peoria, Ill., and Mary Logan of Blytheville; three grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Memorial services will be conducted Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at 12:00 noon at First Missionary Baptist Church, 600 East McHaney Street, Blytheville. Reverend Odale Jones is the pastor. Reverend Larry Guyton will deliver the eulogy.
