Donnie Earl Yarbrough Jr.

Donnie Earl Yarbrough Jr., 30, of Jonesboro, formerly of Blytheville, departed this life on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021, at Flo & Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. He was born March 7, 1991 in Blytheville, the son of Donnie E. Yarbrough Sr. and Carolyn Blankenship Yarbrough.

He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at New Immanuel M.B. Church. Donnie was a 2009 graduate of Gosnell High School, but was associated with Blytheville High class of 2009. He was an active member of New St. Paul M.B. Church until his health began to fail him.

Donnie “DJ” was preceded in death by his loving mother, Carolyn Blankenship Yarbrough; his paternal grandmother, Lillie Yarbrough; his maternal grandmother, Elnora Blankenship; his best friend, Tristan Johnson; and many other family members.

He leaves to cherish his loving memories his dad, Donnie Earl Yarbrough Sr. of Blytheville; three sisters, Clenisha Yarbrough of Blytheville, Torye (Adron) Bolden and Kelsey Yarbrough of Dallas, Texas; godparents, Paul and Venice Evans of Blytheville; his favorite great aunt, Elizabeth Williams of Blytheville, AR, his cousin who was raised as his brother Steffond (Delicia) Blankenship of Jonesboro; his favorite cousin LaQuitta Holmes of Jonesboro; his aunts, Robin Willis of England, Ark., Vickie Blankenship of Jonesboro, Sandra “Renee” Blankenship of Blytheville, Janet Williams of Country Club Hills, Ill., Lestelle bonds of St. Louis, Mo., Emma DeGraffried of St. Louis, Mo., Annette Strong of Blytheville, Kimberly Nzeogwuyah of Blytheville, Elsie Taylor of Bono, Nora Taylor of Blytheville, Shirley Ruffin of Dallas, Texas, and Bobbie Ann Blue of Philipp, Miss.; his uncles, Ricky Yarbrough of Blytheville, Bobby Yarbrough of Kansas City, Mo., and L.C. Blue Jr. of Kalamazoo, Mich.; a special friend of the family, Revie Rodgers; and a host of family and friends.

Visitation will be held Thursday, Dec. 30, at Wolfe Brothers Funeral Home Chapel 634 W. Main Street, Blytheville, from 4-6 p.m. Funeral service will be held Friday, Dec. 31, at 1 p.m. at New St. Paul M.B. Church Burial will follow at Sandy Ridge Cemetery in Burdette.
