Steve West, 69, of Blytheville, passed away Monday, Dec. 13, 2021, at Great River Medical Center in Blytheville.

Steve was born in Blytheville to John W. and Elizabeth Mitchell West. He was a third-generation farmer and a lifelong resident of Blytheville. Steve loved the Lord and was a member and deacon of First Baptist Church. Steve served on the Mississippi County Electric Cooperative board for 32 years and the Arkansas Electric Cooperative, Inc. board for 25 years. He also served on the board of directors for ERMCO in Dyersburg, Tenn.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Johnny Bruce West.

Steve is survived by his wife, Tammy Copley West of the home; son, Vance West of Elberton, Ga.; sister, Marilyn Campbell of Texas; and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 18, at 10 a.m. at the First Baptist Church with Dr. Ron Wilcoxson and Vance West officiating. Burial will follow in Number 8 Cemetery in Cooter, Mo. The family will receive friends from 5:30-7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in Steve’s honor to the First Baptist Church in Blytheville or the Alzheimer’s Association.
