Mary Virginia Brooks

Mary Virginia Brooks, 79, of Manila, passed from this life Monday, Nov. 22, 2021, at the Manila Nursing Center. Born and raised in the Roseland Community, she was the daughter of the late Charley and Vivian Beal Hale. Mary was a lifelong area resident and had worked at American Greetings in Osceola, Mid-South Footwear formerly of Manila and Arlee Manufacturing formerly of Leachville. She was a member of Souls Harbor Pentecostal Church in Manila and her favorite pastime was “just riding around.” In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Tina Kaye Price; one brother, Charley Hale, Jr.; and two sisters, Brenda Clay and Esther Parr.

Survivors include her sister, Laverne Kelley of Manila; grandson, Alex Britt and wife Kaitlyn of Walnut Ridge. She also leaves three great-grandsons.
