Jerry Thomas Rodgers of Blytheville was born June 27, 1946, in Little Rock to the late Rubye Scrivner, he was adopted and raised by the late Bobby Rodgers and the late Lucille Roberts Rodgers. He was an Army veteran who served in the Vietnam era, worked as a welder for over 40 years and was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Rodgers passed away Oct. 6, 2021, at Gosnell Healthcare in Gosnell at the age of 75. He was preceded in death by his birth mother Rubye Scrivner; his parents, Bob Rodgers and Lucille Roberts Rodgers; one brother Robert Scrivner; and one sister Susan Scrivner.

He is survived by his wife, Robin Arends Rodgers of Armorel; son, Dusty Wayne (Sara) Rodgers of Cabot; three daughters, Jennifer Lynn (Robert Smith) Hull of Hot Springs, and Alora and Tiasha Goodman, both of Blytheville; six grandchildren, Kaylin Rodgers, Shelby Rodgers, Chelsea Rodgers, Brianna Jackson, Westin Maddox and Easton Maddox; and two great-grandchildren, Naomi Jackson and Jonathon Jackson, Jr.

The visitation will be held Monday, Oct. 11, from 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Blytheville. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, Oct. 12, at 2 p.m. at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery in Birdeye, with Robert Statler officiating. Services are provided by Wilson Funeral Home Blytheville.
