Malinda Rose White

Malinda Rose White, 57, of Manila, passed from this life Monday, Oct. 4, 2021, at the NEA Baptist Memorial Hospital in Jonesboro. Born in Pekin, Ill., she was the daughter of the late Charles Hampton, Jr., and had been a Manila resident since 1977. Malinda was a 1983 graduate of Manila High School and had been an employee of EIS formerly of Manila before she began working for Sonic Drive-In as part of the management team. Malinda loved animals of all kinds and enjoyed going to yard sales and collecting rocks and marbles.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Marty White; two sons, Kyle White of Lawton, Okla., and Matthew White of Jonesboro; her mother, Linda Blair of Salem, Ill.; one brother, Ricky Hampton of Salem, Ill. She also leaves six grandchildren, Zander White, Caden White, Mason White, Christopher Crawford, Kaylee Crawford and one granddaughter on the way.

Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 7, 2021, in the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. Robert White officiating. The family requests no visitation and burial will be private. Online guest register: www.howardfuneralservice.com
