Gerald O達rien

Gerald O達rien, 81, of Marked Tree departed this life Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, at NEA Baptist Hospital in Jonesboro. He was born April 22, 1940, in Trumann to Mervin and Mildred Meeks O達rien. He was a member of Marked Tree First Baptist Church, a National Guard veteran, and a retired body shop manager.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Shelby Glaze.

Gerald is survived by his wife of 60 years, Peggy Nester O達rien; five daughters, Keri Hayse of Marked Tree, Christy Burke (Michael) of Olive Branch, Miss., April Haycraft of Marked Tree, Jordan Thompson (Ron) of Trumann and Devan Austin (Justin) of Osceola; one brother, Norman O達rien (Melba) of Batesville; one sister, Sharon Box of Trumann; four grandchildren, Sydney Pearson (Tyler), Skylar Burke, Clayton Haycraft and Emily Haycraft; six great-grandchildren, Molli Claire Austin, Cash Thompson, Beckham Austin, Michael Travis Pearson, Hayse Thompson and John Leo Dewerff.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. and visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. at Delancey-Murphy Funeral Home in Marked Tree. Interment will follow funeral service at Marked Tree Cemetery in Marked Tree.
