John Thomas Yankaway Jr.

John Thomas Yankaway Jr., 66, passed away Sept. 26, 2021, at his residence in Osceola. He was a retired factory worker, a deacon and a member of Macedonia M.B. Church in Wilson. Mr. Yankaway was born May 9, 1955, in Osceola to John and Rebecca Branch Yankaway Sr. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Derrick Yankaway.

He is survived by one son, Terry Tyler of Indiana; one daughter, Yolanda Tyler of Indiana; four brothers, Robert Yankaway of Minneapolis, Minn., Donald Ray (Lorraine Seals) Yankaway of Osceola, Jimmy (Margaret) Yankaway of Blytheville, Aaron Yankaway of Blytheville; five sisters, Mary Grayson of Gosnell, Sandra (Larry Clowers) Yankaway of Blytheville, Angie Yankaway of Osceola, Annie Yankaway of Jonesboro, Melinda (Lorenzo) West of Marion; and a host of grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 2, from 9-10 a.m. with the funeral to follow at 10 a.m. at Macedonia M.B. Church in Wilson. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Rev. Bryant Whitted officiating. Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola is in charge of arrangements.
