Jamie Lee Grey was born Jan. 24, 1934 in Osceola to Horace and Ella Dooley Grey. He was employed as a mechanic by Eck Adams, Co. in Osceola and was self-employed as an auto mechanic.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Amelia Barbara Veasley Grey. Jamie passed away Monday, Sept. 20, 2021, at his home in Wichita, Kan., at the age of 87.

He is survived by his son, Jamie (Monica) Grey, Jr. of Cordova, Tenn.; four daughters, Sharon (Clarence) Williams of Wichita, Kan., Beverly (Frank) Booker of Germantown, Tenn., Angela (Leon) Harris of Jonesboro and Renee Bowden of St. Louis, Mo.; one sister, Virgie Miller of Chicago, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021 at 11 a.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, October 2, at 1 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 325 West Bard Avenue, Osceola. Dr. Mose Black is the pastor. Elder Robert Parnell will deliver the eulogy with burial to follow at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola.
