Theresa Philine Baker, 94, of Conway, formerly of Blytheville, passed away Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, at her home.

Philine was born in Portageville, Mo., to Jase and Carrie Thompson Fisher. She was the retired owner and operator of several businesses in Blytheville.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Aubrey Gatlin, and second husband, Lloyd R. Baker; son, William I. “Buddy” Wheat III; daughter, Linda Gail Tucker; grandsons, Gerald F. Hamra III, Charles Butler Hart and Shane White; brothers, Newton B., Harry and J.B. Fisher; and sisters, Bonnie Porter, Gladys Pontius and Mae Hocott Huntley; and son-in-law, Jimmy D. Tucker.

Philine leaves her children, Phillip Michael Wheat and Theresa “Terri” Wheat, both of Conway; grandchildren, Angela Woods, Nikki Vinyard, Melissa Wheat and Sonya Wheat; great-grandchildren, Brilee Foote, Alyssa Foote – West, Collin Overton, Blake White, Matthew White and Emmy Vinyard; and great-grandchild, Dalyn Washington.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Aug. 31, at 2:30 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jim Clark officiating. Burial will be private.
