Ronny Lee Burke

Ronny Lee Burke, 76, of Blytheville, passed away Wednesday, July 7, 2021, at his home.

Born in Yarbro to Oscar and Jonnie Rogers Burke, Ronny was a master electrician and retired from Terra Nitrogen (Agrico). He was a member of the Electricians Association and was also a member of the Baptist Relief Association. Ronny was a very generous and kindhearted man, and volunteered his time to help others in need. He aided in relief efforts in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina. Ronny was the one who always kept the chainsaws going during emergency work at disaster relief sites. He was an avid deer hunter and was a member of a deer hunting club in Monticello. He had a passion for horses and animals of all kinds. Ronny loved his family and was a wonderful husband, dad and PawPaw.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Ronny Burke, Jr.

Ronny leaves his wife, Brenda Haley Burke of the home; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Garry Carruthers of Savannah, Ga.; and granddaughter, Hannah Hardesty of Blytheville.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, July 10, at 11 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Welch officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Blytheville Humane Society.
