Gale Jefferson

Gale Jefferson of Jonesboro, formerly of Blytheville, was born May 4, 1954, in Osceola, the son of Frank and Earnestine Brown Jefferson. He was a graduate of Blytheville High School and served his country honorably in the United States Army.

Gale was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Frank Jefferson, Jr.; and one sister, Nodie Mae Turner.

On Thursday, July 1, 2021 Gale passed away at Great River Medical Center at the age of 67.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife, Velma Jefferson of the home; four sons, Timothy Johnson of Killeen, Texas, Timothy Woodard of Blytheville, Demond (Keitra) Gardner of Jonesboro and Gale Jefferson, Jr., also of Jonesboro; two daughters, LaShonta Jefferson of Jonesboro and Tameka (Ty Luster) Jefferson of Jonesboro; four brothers, Robert (Emma) Jefferson of Blytheville, Gus (Dawnette) Jefferson of Flint, Mich., Ernest (Earnestine) Jefferson of Blytheville and Harvey (Sylvia) Jefferson, also of Blytheville; one sister, Loisstine Donaldson of Blytheville; 19 grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be held Friday, July 9, from 5-7 p.m. at McDonald-Horne Funeral Home, 1207 South Division, Blytheville.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. at St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church 1630 West Street, Blytheville, where Reverend Bennie Washington is the pastor. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens Cemetery.
