Sylvester T. Belcher

Sylvester T. Belcher, 80, of Osceola died June 20, 2021 at his home. He was retired from Viskase, retired teacher from the Osceola School District and a member of St. John Full Gospel Church in Osceola. Mr. Belcher was born June 1, 1941 in Hot Springs to K.C. and Gladys Calhoun Belcher. He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife Irma Belcher. He is survived by one son, Thomas Douglas (Robert Durfee) Belcher of Lawrenceville, Ga.; one daughter, Tonye Daneen (Madison) Durr of Atlanta, Ga.; one brother, Curtis Belcher of Fort Smith; one sister, Essie Hannah of Sacramento, Calif.; three grandchildren, Alexas Durr, Madison Anthony Durr and Adrienne Durr of Atlanta, Ga.

Visitation will be Wednesday, June 23, from 5-7 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home in Osceola. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 24, at 12 noon at St. John Full Gospel Church in Osceola. Burial will be at Whiteside Cemetery in Osceola with Rev. R.L. Johnson officiating. Wilson Funeral home in Osceola is in charge.
