Linda Kaye Riggs Floyd

Linda Kaye Riggs Floyd, 75, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, June 11, 2021, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center in Pine Bluff.

Born in Burdette to Hershell and Jewell Alexander Riggs, she graduated high school and the school of cosmetology. Kaye thoroughly enjoyed her career as a cosmetologist where she developed many meaningful and lasting friendships over the years. Kaye was also employed for six years at the Star Center (Special Technology Access Resource) in Jackson, Tenn. Kaye loved the Lord and was a member of Bethany Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother who raised her three boys along with taking care of other children, nieces and nephews. She was an excellent cook and loved spending as much quality time with her family as she could.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry Floyd, Sr.; brothers, Ronnie Riggs, Hershell “Fibber” Riggs, Jr. and Gene Riggs; and sister, Donna Riggs.

Kaye leaves her sons, Scott Horner and his wife Amanda of Star City, Casey Horner of Blytheville and Jerry Floyd, Jr. of Blytheville; brother, Gerald Riggs of El Dorado; sister, Tammy Driskill of Hernando, Miss.; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held under the direction of Cobb Funeral Home, Wednesday, June 16, at 10:30 a.m. at Bethany Baptist Church in Gosnell, with Rev. Gary Hyde officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 6-8 p.m. also at Bethany Baptist Church.
