Steven Michael Ada, 48, of Manila, passed from this life Wednesday, June 9, 2021, at his home. Born at the Columbus Air Force Base in Columbus, Miss., he was the son of the late Carolyn Hurst Ada and a 1990 graduate of Blytheville High School in Blytheville. He attended Albany Vo-Tech School near New Albany, Miss., where he earned his certification as a machinist. He had been employed with Flowserve Corp. in Memphis, Tenn., and Team Industrial Services of Sugarland, Texas. He had been a Manila resident since 2004 and enjoyed fishing, grilling and watching Arkansas Razorback football. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one son, Jacob Shumate, in 2016.

Survivors include his father, Mickey Ada, and wife, Ingrid of Demorest, Ga.; sister, Kimberly D. DeHart, and husband Gary of Columbus, Ga.; two sons, Joshua Waddell of Leachville and Kaleb Waddell of Jonesboro; daughter, Alexandra Orr, and husband, Brandon of Brookland; nephew, Colby DeHart of Columbus, Ga. He also leaves nine grandchildren, Dustin, Carol, Caleb, Joshua, Braxton, Carter, Blakeleigh, Jacob and Lynleigh.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, June 14, at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila.  Burial will follow in the Manila Cemetery. The family will receive visitors Monday from noon until service time. Online guest register: www.howardfuneralservice.com
