Susan Houston Tusing

Susan Houston Tusing, 65, of Dell, passed away Monday, June 7, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Born in Blytheville to William Doyle and Betty Sue Hardin Houston, Susan was a retired registered home health nurse and was a member of Dell First Baptist Church. She enjoyed crocheting and made afghans for all of her family and friends. Susan loved cooking all of the holiday meals and was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and was often referred to as “Nana’s Taxi”.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Mandy Tusing.

Susan leaves her husband, Ed Tusing of the home; two sons, Andy Tusing and his wife Dana and Adam Tusing, all of Dell; two brothers, Robert Morris Houston and his wife Tonya of Brandon, Miss., and William Doyle Houston, Jr. and his wife Kris of Jacksonville; four grandchildren, Hunter Tusing, Amos Tusing, Tammy Tusing and Andy “Drew” Tusing, Jr; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 10, at 2 p.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sunny Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Elmwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m. at Cobb Funeral Home. The family requests that memorials be made to the church of your choice.
