Janice Sue Edgin

Janice Sue Edgin, 70, of Leachville, passed from this life Saturday, May 8, 2021, at the Flo and Phil Jones Hospice House in Jonesboro. Born in Jonesboro, she was the daughter of the late Tom and Virgie Brooks Lane and had been a lifelong Leachville resident. A 1969 graduate of Leachville High School, she had attended Arkansas State University in Jonesboro before beginning her career with the Buffalo Island Central School District where she worked for 30 years retiring in 2020. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In the past, Janice had been active as a volunteer for the American Cancer Society Relay For Life Fundraiser. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Carroll Lane.

She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Franklin Edgin of the home; two sons, Tommy J. Edgin and Joshua L. Edgin, both of Leachville; one brother, Donald Lane of Senath, Mo. She also leaves three grandsons, Gage Edgin, Brody Edgin and Keygan Edgin.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 11, at the Leachville Cemetery with Rev. Mark Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Howard Funeral Service of Leachville. Online guest register: www.howardfuneralservice.com
