Robin “Candy” Pippin Kackley

Robin “Candy” Pippin Kackley, 65, of Rives, Mo., passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at Arkansas Methodist Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family. On Feb. 22, 1956, she was born in Kennett, Mo., to the late Martha Winnie Joyce Frederick and Joe Laverne Pippin.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Jack and Myrtle Sims Frederick; fraternal grandparents, John and Daisy Ciscell Pippin; her parents; two brothers, Rickey Pippin and Dennis Pippin.

Candy is survived by her husband, Anthony Kackley of Rives, Mo.; one son, Dennis Crosskno (Emily) of Manila; one grandson, Kevin Jackson Crosskno of Manila; two sisters, Susan Boren (Steve) of Blytheville and Denise Middleton (Alan) of Kennett, Mo.; one niece, Ericka Middleton; one nephew, John Pippin; and a great-niece, Hallee Jo Trotter all of Kennett, Mo.

She will be most fondly remembered for her love of helping others and, in particular, the children of Appalachia. Candy was instrumental in founding Dolls for Appalachia and Stitching for Appalachia, which worked in conjunction with the Putting Prayers to Action organization.

Per Candy’s wishes, there will be no services. Memorial donations may be made to the Candy Kackley Rives Scholarship, 21039 C.R. 712 Gobler, MO 63849, the former Rives Community Scholarship in which she was the founder.
