Gosnell Drugs vaccinating community members

Friday, March 19, 2021

Gosnell Drugs staff is going above and beyond to get Covid-19 vaccines in the arms of the people who qualify which include most people since the Phase 1-C recently opened.

Owners of Gosnell Drugs are Tyson Wallace and  Brandon Michael, pharmacists. Adam Slayton, pharmacist, is also part of the Gosnell team. Morgan Bevill, Sydney Stigall and Alexx Farrow serve as pharmacy technicians. Between the staff, they have over 50 years of experience.

Covid-19 vaccines are being given two to three days a week and on Saturday mornings at Gosnell Drugs located at 134 Bevill Ave., in Gosnell.

So far the team has given about 1,000 vaccinations including clinics held at Gosnell, Armorel, Osceola and Blytheville School Districts and at the pharmacy.

Gosnell Drugs has been open in Gosnell for a year and a half.

“We appreciate everyone who has supported us,” Wallace said. “We are proud to be part of the community.”

The team is excited about helping to get citizens in the area vaccinated and protected from  Covid-19.

To schedule an appointment for the Covid-19 vaccine call (870) 751-9242 and leave a message on the voice mail with name,  age, phone and occupation.

“We have to schedule the appointments because once a vial, which has 10 doses is opened, it has to be used in six hours and we do not want to waste any,” Wallace said.

They can give Covid-19 vaccines to anyone living in or working in Arkansas who qualify in the Phase 1, Phase 2 or Phase 3 lists.

“Our goal and our job is to get these shots out to the public,” Wallace said. “We welcome people to set up an appointment.”

Like most pharmacies in this area providing the Covid-19 shots,  they are receiving and giving   the two dose Moderna vaccine.

A clinic was held at Gosnell Drugs on Wednesday and in spite of the rain and threat of storms, they gave over 26 shots. They have given as many as 60 a day at their store.
