Wesley E. Davis, 79, of Blytheville, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021, at St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

Wesley was born in Bruce, Miss., to Wesley D. and Winnie Carter Davis and was a member of Luxora Baptist Church. He was a retired farmer and minister. Wesley enjoyed preaching and singing at nursing homes and farming.

He was preceded in death by his first wife and the mother of his children, Johnnie Holleman; second wife, Betty Riggs Davis; his parents; son, Robert Eugene Davis; one brother, Robert Earl Davis; and two sisters, Margaret Davis and Linda Garner.

Wesley leaves his wife, Kelly Davis of the home; three children, Penny Teeter of Charlotte, N.C., John Wesley Davis of Blytheville and Stacey DeFries of Paragould; four step-children, Janet Williams of Tampa, Fla., Steven Riggs of Hanford, Calif., Michael Riggs of Trumann and Amber Scroggins of Oxford, Miss.; two brothers, Joe Davis and Donald Davis, both of Gosnell; three sisters, Maxine Blankenship, Betty Hadden and Brenda Davis, all of Gosnell; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 20, at 11 a.m. in the Cobb Funeral Home Chapel. Entombment will be private. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until service time at Cobb Funeral Home. Following the State of Arkansas COVID-19 guidelines, no more than 80 people will be allowed to gather inside of Cobb Funeral Home and practice social distancing, keeping a 6-foot distance between one another. Face masks are required to enter the building and to be worn at all times.
